"The Festival is a great tradition. Every year thousands of people gather to celebrate the unique relationship between Russia and Cyprus.The Festival is already a well-known tradition. More than 1,000 actors,dancers and singers from both countries perform on three stages taking part in a very rich non-stop concert and entertainment program. The Cyprus-Russian Festival is by far the biggest event of its kind in Cyprus. About 12-15,000 people will gather in June in the Limassol Municipal Gardens to celebrate the unique relationship between Russia and Cyprus.There are about 50,000 Russian-speakers residing in Cyprus. More than 800,000 tourists from CIS countries visit Cyprus every year. The Festival has already become a very important part of the community’s life. The success of the Festival is the result of excellent organisational experience and a well-prepared program that uniquely combines official and entertainment elements."
