The Polemidia Dam has overflowed (VIDEO)

The Polemidia dam was constructed in 1965 and has a 3.86.000 cubic metre (11 hectares) and it is 45 metres high.

The water of the barrier feeds mainly crops of vegetables, vines and citrus.

According the Mayor of Kato Polemidion, Mr. Nikos Anastasiou, the dam has overflowed seven more times in the passed, namely in 1988, 1989, 1993, 1995, 2003, 2004 and 2012.
