The idea of the tavern pre-existed for several decades, from the grandmothers family recipes that were passed to the mother and now to the son, a professional chef.

The passion of these people, combined with the business knowledge of the little brother, who always had the desire to create a restaurant to offer his mum's food, led to the realisations of the tavern creating a complete team. A family story in a picturesque Proavlio Tavern.

The chef of the tavern, Theodoros, originally from the village of Parekklisia, is one of the inspiring factors of the tavern. After completing his studies and several years of experience, he chose his mum's food, with which he grew up with and created a unique, modernised form of them, as a basis for the Proavlio Tavern menu. The recipes and the amazing food that he prepares, stem from his admiration for his mum's recipes and her delicious sweets, based on which today he makes his modern dishes, building the fame of the Proavlio Tavern.

A visit to Proavlio Tavern is the perfect opportunity to head to the village of Parekklisia, escaping from the everyday life and the noise of the city, even if your time is limited, since it is only 15 minutes from the city of Limassol.

The Proavlio Tavern is built in a characteristic part of the village, in the historic, picturesque courtyard of the church of the Holy Cross, which has dominated the area for centuries and was the main inspiration of the name of the tavern. They are modern but with a traditional character. You can enjoy your meal inside the tavern, in the warmth of the stone fireplace or outside in the characteristic and historic courtyard of the church, from which the name and the marking of the tavern came.

In Proavlio Tavern, you will find dishes of excellent quality. Their food will take you to other times, while at the same time its most modern execution gives a unique touch that will satisfy your palate. You can also enjoy a rich selection of Cypriot wines from the best wineries in the country.

The menu consists of authentic traditional dishes, in which you will find familiar and favourite flavours. Do not forget to try the Chef's Kleftiko, the Moussaka of Aglaia, as well as the excellent dessert, the Orange Pie of Aglaia.
