Chapel of Saint Demetrianos
About 5 km North of Akrotiri village, you will find the chapel of St. Demetrianos. It was built during the 12th century, from ancient Greek temple remains and materials from the surrounding area. The interior of the chapel is austere with a few icons with no archaeological value, but with an interesting Byzantinestyled painting. The chapel is dedicated to St. Demietrianos, Bishop Chytron, whose memory is celebrated on 6th of November.
