The 23rd Paphos Aphrodite Festival promises another magical evening. The Municipality of Paphos in collaboration with the Tbilisi State Opera and Ballet Theatre and the participation of the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra will present the play ''Carmen''. The performances will take place on 5 and 6 September at 19:30.

Carmen made her debut in 1875 at the Opéra-Comique in Paris, with a libretto based on the novella by Prosper Merimée. Since then, Georges Bizet’s fiery protagonist has become one of the most beloved figures in opera. What makes her special is that, even today, she continues to captivate audiences – not only with her well-known melodies, but also with her unruly, passionate personality.
