Speedy Gonzales has an enchanting atmosphere, located in the heart of Protaras.

Cheerful colours, painted walls, cacti, Latin music, burritos, quesadillas and burgers, it takes you on a culinary trip to Mexico.

Since 2002 Speedy Gonzales has brought Mexico to the heart of Protaras, in the bustling central square of Pernera.

Atmospheric, with colours filling our space and our hearts, with welcoming and creative young people and above all special delicious flavours.

Mexican food feast with burritos, tacos, fajitas, enchiladas, quesadillas and chimichangas, and there is no shortage of options for vegans and people with gluten intolerance.

What we tried!

The extensive menu of Speedy Gonzales, unfolds all the tasty favourites of the country of tacos and enchiladas.

We preferred to share 4 of the most popular and favourite of the shop: Burrito Chicken, Enchilada, Quasadila Beef and Prawns Fajitas.

What we tried was delicious, rich in flavour and we can say that they were not too spicy – ​​the waiter had asked us when we ordered how spicy we wanted them.

Another dish that truly impressed us was the Combination Fajitas, featuring four fajitas, sour cream, tomato, onion, the restaurant’s signature sauce with caramelised onions and peppers, and the famous guacamole.
It can be paired with two meat options or made vegetarian.

Meanwhile, the refreshing Fajita Taco Salad, with melted cheese, lettuce, cucumber, chicken, and sour cream, seemed like the perfect choice for hot summer days.

Naturally, we couldn’t resist pairing our meal with some cool, refreshing margaritas.

Undoubtedly, you should put Speedy Gonzales on your to do list as soon as possible to experience an evening of authentic Mexican culture.
