Fully renovated with a fresh and welcoming look

A Taste of Family, Tradition, and Elegance: Our Visit to Lekanto in Coral Bay Street
During our recent trip to Pafos district, we had the pleasure of visiting Lekanto Café Restaurant, a beautifully renovated, family-run gem that left a lasting impression on all of us. Nestled in one of the most popular coastal areas of Pafos, Lekanto manages to strike the perfect balance between tradition and modern comfort — and we’re so glad we discovered it.

Warmth You Can Feel — A True Family-Run Restaurant
From the moment we walked through the doors of Lekanto, we felt it, that special warmth that only comes from a place that’s run with love. This isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a family legacy. The Aresti family, who own and operate the restaurant, welcomed us with genuine smiles and a sense of hospitality that made us feel like we were guests in their home rather than customers.
It’s not often that you see such passion and involvement from the owners, but here, it’s at the heart of everything. Aristos Aresti and his family are involved in every aspect, from the cooking and service to creating the perfect dining atmosphere. That energy truly reflects in the experience.

Completely Renovated — A Fresh, Stylish Space
One of the first things we noticed was how modern and stylish the space felt. We later learnt that the restaurant had recently undergone a complete renovation, and the result is stunning.

A Menu That Honours Tradition — With Something for Everyone
The menu at Lekanto offers a wide selection, beautifully marrying traditional Cypriot cuisine with popular international favourites. We were especially impressed by how much care and quality went into each dish.
We started with a selection of local appetisers — freshly made tzatziki, grilled halloumi, and a crisp village salad bursting with flavour. For mains, the moussaka was absolutely delicious, layered with rich, comforting flavours. The pork souvlaki was grilled to perfection and served with traditional sides that reminded us of homemade Sunday lunches.
But Lekanto also caters to international tastes. One of us ordered the pepper steak, and it was beautifully cooked — tender, juicy, and full of flavour. Another had the honey-mustard chicken, which was sweet, savoury, and satisfying. There are also vegetarian options and lighter dishes for those looking for something more casual.

And the wine list? Impressive, with selections from both local Cypriot vineyards and international labels, along with cocktails and coffee that make you want to linger just a little longer.
Lekanto Café Restaurant isn’t just another place to eat in, it’s a destination in its own right. With its recent renovation, high-quality cuisine, and the undeniable warmth of a family-run business, it offers an experience that stays with you long after the last bite.
We’ll definitely be returning, and bringing friends with us next time.
