Where can you find delicious gyro in Pafos?
The restaurant that wins our flavours of the year award
In the city where every block has a different Gyros (Kebab) spot, finding really good gyro and souvlakia is not the easiest task.
We searched, found and tried a restaurant that recently opened on the busy Avenue, Tombs of the Kings.
At "O Gyros tis Kritis" you can find gyro and souvlakia that are made with high quality ingredients, and which truly deserve our praises.

"O Gyros tis Kritis" is famous for its delicious chicken and pork gyros.
But you will also find other options from gyros, souvlakia and kebabs in a pita or in a bun, a variety of meats, grilled items and salads.
Everything is expertly chargrilled, juicy and tender to retain all the freshness and deliciousness of the meat.
It is characterised by generous portions and low prices.

The shop is spotlessly clean and has only the essentials: the grill, the gyro spit and the fridge with soft drinks and beers.
The interior of the shop is welcoming with stone walls. It's small, with a few tables to sit on.
They work a lot with delivery platforms, offering delicious food directly to your home (Wolt, Foody).

Behind "O Gyros tis Kritis" is a couple of young Cretans, who present a culinary dialogue between Cyprus and Crete.
Their philosophy can be described in just two words: taste and tradition.
Chrysovalantis has brought from Crete the recipes of his grandfather, who ran her own kebab shop since 1985.
Together with his partner, Anna, they decided at the beginning of 2024 to open their own business and continue the tradition.
They don't sell design or amenities, they only sell quality and those who come here and eat can taste it.

You must try 'The Gyros of Crete', especially if you are a gyro fan!
We have definitely found the restaurant to visit every time we go to Pafos.
