About the author

I'm Giannis Papanastasiou, 59 years old, I come from the village of Kato Amiantos and now I live in Limassol. I am married with Agathi, and we have three daughters and two sons.

I was a car mechanic, but because of health problems, for 14 years now I am in early retirement. So now I spend time doing things I love and I didn’t have time for before. These are photography, the study of the history and traditions of Cyprus( not only) and certainly travel within and outside Cyprus!

I hope that through my work in Cyprus Alive I will exppore the history and traditions of Cyprus through my photos and texts!
